When you buy eyeglasses, entering your prescription accurately when ordering is extremely important! Let’s look at a typical prescription and take a moment to understand the basics of the different components:

ABBREVIATIONS
OD = Right Eye
OS = Left Eye
Sph = Sphere
Cyl = Cylinder
Axis = Lens Axis
Add = Bifocal Power
